Designing cutting-edge restorative justice programming and interventions.

Building on almost two decades of designing and implementing first-of-their-kind programs, as well as many years of managing workplace conflict and co-creating strong teams, I work with nonprofits, community-based organizations and across other sectors to design cutting-edge initiatives and respond to workplace needs.

Sample offerings

  • Workshops: Every workshop is tailored to the unique needs of the organization. The following are examples:

    • Relationship-building workshop. This workshop can be used to kickstart a new team culture or to operate as a “reset” for teams that have become fatigued by zoom in the post-pandemic workplace.

    • Generative conflict workshop. This workshop is designed to help participants get more comfortable with conflict, along with strategies for how to best release tension before it builds.

    • Giving good feedback. This hands-on workshop helps participants understand and practice (!) the elements of good feedback.

    • Advanced training opportunities. Contact me for current offerings.

  • Facilitating restorative responses for staff:

    • Assisting organizations that need to foreground a difficult conversation around a particular incident of harm or to resolve conflict using restorative approaches.

  • Designing and implementing new initiatives:

    • Working from the seed of an idea into full-scale implementation on community-based restorative justice programming.

    • Working to create programming that understands the complex needs of survivors of gender-based violence.

Testimonials

  • We sought Erika’s help to facilitate a restorative process for our team of philanthropic advisors. Erika approached the assignment with great care, professionalism, and a wonderful sense of humor. She helped to create a safe space for our team to reflect, dialogue, and heal. I would recommend Erika to any organization looking to address underlying challenges, “get unstuck”, move forward with trust and confidence.

    Brian Hayes – Porticus Foundation

  • Erika possesses a vast amount of expertise in the process, but brings a warmth and kindness that makes the work much less daunting. Organizations facing tough situations and in critical need for a way to move forward are in good hands with Erika.

Meghan Finn – Director, The Tank NYC theater

  • Erika is a leader, connector and true collaborator. […] With her partnership, we are now prepared to implement a culturally-specific and community-based restorative justice program to address harm to Latinx survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Her energy and lived values make her a delight to work with, and we could not have asked for a better collaborator in this exciting and groundbreaking work!
